Shares of Goldman Sachs Take Out 2007 Highs, Trade as High as $251.93 on Wednesday

Yesterday, Goldman Sachs shares closed at an all-time high of $249.46, but without taking out the previous all-time high of $250.70 from October of 2007. However, shares of the investment bank opened today at $250.28, traded down to $248.52 in the first 45 minutes of trading, and continued to climb to a new all-time high of $251.93 by noon.

Goldman’s stock, as well as shares of many other invest banks, have been in a bull market since Trump’s elections in November of 2016. When measured against today’s new all-time high, GS shares have appreciated by almost $70 (+38.45 percent) since November 9, 2016.

On Monday, more fuel was added to the Goldman rally with the successful confirmation of former Goldman Sachs Executive Vice President and Hollywood film financier, Steve Mnuchin, to the post of Treasury Secretary under the Trump administration.
